Today via Disney’s Brave facebook page, two new toy items were revealed to the public. The first of which being the Disney Animator doll (LEFT). These dolls are basically the same bodies as the Toddler Princess dolls available in stores, but the Disney Animator dolls, in the past, have been exclusive to the Disney Store or Disneystore.com.
Over the weekend, we checked in with the Disney Store staff and they are expecting to see Princess Merida merchandise towards the end of April (which isn’t too far away). If you can’t wait that long, you can head over to Disneystore.com and order t-shirts and dolls for the time being. We look for the Animator doll to be showing up real soon as well.
Also revealed through facebook today is the Princess Merida role-play set which includes a bow, safety suction cup arrows and a satchel (please correct me on the name of the little arrow holder satchel) to store the arrows in for a bit of adventure fun. As with all of the Disney Princesses, look for the replica dresses to become available this summer as well. This will be the perfect addition for the ensemble!
Here at Kikzengiggles.com, we are very excited for the opening of Brave on June 22nd. Through living with and working with kids for many years, we’ve experienced first hand that not all little girls are the “waiting for my prince to come” kids that typically love the classic Princess movies, so this provides a little variety to the collection. Stay tuned for more on Disney’s Brave as the information comes out as well as a contest for a AMC gift card in honor of the release!
Prepare to go back into battle with Master Chief on November 6th, when Halo 4 reaches retail stores worldwide! Check out the press release from Microsoft below!
REDMOND, Wash. — April 17, 2012 — The countdown has begun for the landmark entertainment event millions of fans worldwide have been anticipating for more than four years. “Halo 4,” the hotly anticipated sequel to the iconic franchise that has shaped entertainment history, will launch worldwide on Nov. 6, 2012.
“Halo 4” marks the return of legendary hero Master Chief, named by Fast Company as “one of the most popular characters in gaming history,”1 and aims to set a new standard for blockbuster interactive entertainment with the launch. Set four years after the events in “Halo 3,” Master Chief returns to confront his destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. Developed by 343 Industries, “Halo 4” marks a new beginning for the landmark entertainment franchise that has sold more than 40 million games worldwide and inspired multiple New York Times best-selling novels, live-action shorts, comic books, action figures and apparel.
“We are beginning a new saga with ‘Halo 4’ and embarking on a journey that will encompass the next decade of ‘Halo’ games and experiences,” said Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Studios. “Millions of fans worldwide have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to step back into the boots of Master Chief, and, with ‘Halo 4’ leading the charge, we’re confident 2012 will be the most successful year in Xbox history.”
“Halo 3,” the biggest consumer product launch of all time when it released in 2007,2 concluded the original game trilogy, but left many unanswered questions around the fates of the series’ beloved hero, the Master Chief, and his artificial intelligence companion, Cortana. On Nov. 6, fans will experience the next chapter of the iconic franchise.
Tonight, Conan O’Brien will help celebrate this fall’s launch of “Halo 4” with a special segment on “CONAN” on TBS at 11 p.m. PDT/10 p.m. CDT. Those interested should tune in and check out http://www.teamcoco.com or follow @TeamCoco on Twitter for updates and more details.

Coming this fall, your favorite $5 bin movie characters will be showing up on web sites and/or toy store shelves in the form of action figures much like their Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is Coming To Town action figures.
Diamond Select Toys have created almost exact replicas of the 1967 film’s characters and we couldn’t be happier. The first release of these figures will include Dracula, Frankie, and The Baron. Each figure will feature customized accessories as well as a nice display base, perfect for displaying your figures loosely.
The classic Rankin/Bass Halloween flick is one that we celebrate yearly by watching quite a few times, so for sure we’ll be picking these up. Check out this clip of Dracula cutting loose for a little dance!
This one is definitely worth picking up and I hope you’ll be picking up the action figures as well. Here at Kikzengiggles.com, Halloween season is one of the greatest times around. The entire office is decked out in brand new and vintage toys, inflatable, paper decorations, and more. These Mad Monster Party action figures will display nicely. Be sure to keep your fingers crossed that they release a 2nd wave with Mummy, Invisible Man, Wolf Man, and Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde. I know we’ve teased giveaways, but I think we’ll have to do a DVD/Action figure set giveaway for this one. We’ll see how available these items are by the time late September/October rolls around. Be sure to stay tuned!
Just today, Disney has been contacting e-mail subscribers to notify them that you can now view Tangled Ever After on their own personal Disney.com site dedicated to all things Tangled.

Remember when TV stations put out yearly “Holiday Themed” episodes of your favorite cartoons and TV shows? Well, here is a major classic from the Kikzengiggles’ Flashback Friday files… DTV Monster hits! This was basically a show of various “spooky” songs played with a mini cartoon of your favorite Disney characters.
Special thanks to youtube user “VideoPotpurri” for posting the video!

Since we just re-booted the sit this week, I would like to take the chance to introduce “Flashback Fridays” to our audience. Each week, I plan to share with you a blast from the past in the form of toy, game, or video.
Today, we’re going to talk about Skip It! Skip It was a ball and chain concept where you basically skipped to get the ball to swing around your leg. Cool thing about this is, that it was really the first Pedometer. You know, those little belt clip things that counts your steps? Yup! Skip It had one built-in to count how many times you were able swing the ball around (basically, every time it hit the ground it counted).
Personally, I never owned one of these as a kid. I wasn’t even coordinated enough to jump rope. If we were playing outside, we rode bikes, played Basketball, or Baseball (only using a Tennis Ball so we didn’t break any windows :D).
All in all, I’d like to give Skip It a shot and take a video of a 27 year old doing it compared to an 8 year old. Should be interesting. If anybody has any to donate to the cause (I’m not paying $40.00 on ebay for a MOC one), please e-mail me at Kikzengiggles@gmail.com and I’ll pay for you to ship them to me. Check out the original commercial below and tell me that the song doesn’t get stuck in your head!
Seeing how we are only about 3 years away from real-life working hoverboards (according to the movies), you may want to pass on this offer. However for realistic people who enjoyed the Back to the Future movies, this deal is for you!

Last week, THQ and WWE released the WWE Wrestlefest app for ipad, iphone, and ipod touch platforms. This is a throwback to the classic WWF Arcade Console Game from the 90’s… only with cleaner graphics and an updated roster.
Different from the original arcade game, there is a new Road to Wrestlemania challenge as well as Gauntlet Match. Still included in the game are the Saturday Night’s Main Event Tag Team Tournament and the 1 player Royal Rumble Match. The Price of the full version app is $2.99 and you start out with John Cena, Undertaker, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and Macho Man Randy Savage. Additional characters can be purchased in the WWE Store option from the start menu. As of now, pack 1 is $.99 and it includes Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Sheamus, Big Bossman, and CM Punk.
Via Twitter and Facebook, THQ has confirmed that Zack Ryder would be an additional player in Wrestlefest in the near future. As of now, no date has been given on when you can start your own personal Ryder Revolution. Look for a new set of characters to be added for purchase in the near future.
Also confirmed through facebook and twitter, WWE Wrestlefest will soon be included on Xbox Live and The Playstation Network for download in the near future as well. As soon as we get more details, we’ll be sure to post them! Woo woo woo… you know it! As far as the gameplay goes, it’s an exact replica of the arcade game we’ve dropped a couple of hundreds of dollars into during the 90’s. Our ONLY complaint is that the Road to Wrestlemania completion is very anti-climatic. We went through the entire RTWM path in one night and was a little bummed to Wrestle Big Boss Man in the Main Event for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. We would have totally freaked out if WTWM led to a big showdown with Yokozuna, Andre the Giant, Big Show, or another character you didn’t play against multiple times through the WTWM path. Undertaker would have been a great one to lock into place (even if you were playing as the Undertaker) for the main event showdown. After you win, it simply goes through the credits. No fireworks, no special WWE Title Presentation, nothing! We’ve still got our fingers crossed that in future updates, they will update the WTWM playlist. Stay tuned!
Mattel has started putting out some new Waves of WWE Basic, Battlepacks, Elite, and Rumblers. Posted above are the first ever releases of Nikki and Brie, The Bella Twins with WWE Diva’s Title included! Twin Magic, indeed! The only gripe we have with this pack is the medallion color on the belt. If they were going to give it a solid color sculpt, why not make it silver? Customizers would have had an easier time painting a little pink onto the front, rather than doing a full paint-job! Other than that, the set is pretty great. Also included in the Series is Daniel Bryan vs. Sin Cara and John Cena vs. The Rock. All in all, this is a solid assortment of characters to choose from. Nice work, Mattel! Check the pics below…
Rumblers and figures styled like this in general have found a steady home with collectors as well as kids these days. You can find Toy Story, GI Joe, Super Hero Squad, DC Comics, Transformers, Star Wars, and many other variations. It was only fitting that the WWE Stars started battling it out for shelf space too. With Mattel being only 2 years into their deal with WWE, you already have a wide assortment of today’s top stars as well as playsets for the Rumbles to wrestle in. Check the images below for the most recent 2 sets of these little bad boys!
Chances are if you’re a big fan of WWE and are planning an event between now and Wrestlemania, you will have to opportunity to purchase this little gem of a set. This is a special Road To Wrestlemania Rumbler set featuring John Cena and The Rock. The Rock is the standard sculpt, but John Cena is a more recent sculpt that features more playability rather than the “You Can’t See Me” sculpt. We’re going to try to get our hands on a set or two for give aways so be sure to stay tuned (Right now, it’s a little bleak because people are gouging for these on ebay at $49.99 a set). Hook us up, Mattel!!! Wrestlemania looks to be insane this year. We’ll be posting live tweets during the event so be sure to ‘Follow’ us @Kikzengiggles.
If you have a little girl at home who loves the Disney Princess movies, then you’re probably wondering where all the “Tangled Ever After” wedding toys and clothing items are to buy. Look no further! Disneystore.com (as well as Disney Store retail shops) have begun filtering in many new Tangled and Tangled Ever After Items for you to purchase. Pictured to the left is a deluxe 14″ version of Rapunzel in her wedding gown with her updated short brown hair. She is decked out with a highly detailed dress with train and veil. It also comes with a WANTED poster-styled wedding announcement and a few other extras. Brace yourselves… this doll is preordering for $99.50! Personally, I don’t see many issues with the price seeing how it has the details of a porcelain doll… the dress is finely embroidered and all of the extra features. It’ll make for a nice collectors item.
Along with the deluxe Rapunzel doll, Disney Store now has a long braided hair Rapuzel in the wedding gown, Flynn Rider in his white suit, Doll sets, Plushies, and Costumes! As of this posting, the plushie Rapunzel and Flynn dolls are on sale for $12.00 and the 4pc 5″ doll set (Includes Wedding Rapunzel with short brown hair, Flynn in white suit, Blonde Rapunzel in purple dress, and Mother Gothel) is on sale for $15.00! Check out pics below!
So sadly, it still looks like the only way you’ll be able to get a regular Barbie-sized Wedding Rapunzel doll (with short brown hair) is to have a custom one made. I can let readers know that I can offer for a limited time, custom Rapunzel wedding dolls and I’ll be asking $40.00 plus $5 for S+H. Please send all requests to Kikzengiggles@gmail.com and we’ll make it work!
With the newer Tangled toys being released, Disney Store also has Maximus in a single release form. From the sounds of things, most people have had trouble with only being able to find Maximus in the 3 pack with Flynn and Rapunzel for $40.00+. What I like about the Disney Store Maximus is that he is fully articulated and plays music. The original release was a basic solid repaint of a previous horse in a trotting pose with a custom saddle. Below are pictures of both the Mattel release and the Disney Store release! Enjoy!
This summer, what is said to be Director, Christopher Nolan’s conclusion to his “Dark Knight Saga” hits theatres and IMAX. What would be a Super Hero movie without a whole slew of cool action figures and toys!
Popping up as early as Easter season, The Fisher Price Imaginext Gotham City Jail playset with feature a brand new Bane figure and Batman. Not alot of details on the Batman figure yet, but pictured at a recent comicon event, it looked as though the suit would be removeable to reveal Bruce Wayne in a suit. The Gotham City Jail will more than likely retail around $25.00 to $35.00 depending on the actual size of the set. If you’re not so much interested in paying for the playset just to get a Bane figure, more than likely he will be packaged in gift sets moving towards Christmas time. It’s very rare thatFisher Price issues a one and done release of a figure, so look for Bane to pop up in a gift set with some of the newer Characters from 2011’s set (Catwoman, Flash, Hawkman, K. Croc, etc.). We’ll be sure to snag this one up as soon as it’s released and give a review. Image of the Gotham City Jail is posted below…
Another fun little offering to look forward to this Spring/Summer is the POP! Heroes vinyl versions of the cast from The Dark Knight Rises. This set will feature Batman, Bane, and Catwoman. I’m not sure if more will be planned, but it has been said that Liam Neisen was spotted on The Dark Knight set as well, so we may see some post-release Ra’s Al Ghul items pop up as well as some other Gotham City characters from the movie (Comissioner Gordon, Alfred, etc.). Check out Bane and Batman below!
Believe it or not, the Mr. Potato Head franchise turns 60 years old this year and they are celebrating with some more character themed Spuds. Bat Spud is decked out in a Dark Knight Rises-themed suit and has a special Batarang arm. Along with the other Dark Knight Rises items, look for Batspud to be hitting store shelves as early as Easter season. The retail price on this on is going to be $19.99, so you better start saving your pennies!
As with any comic book character movie toy release, don’t forget about the vehicles! Consider this somewhat of a spoiler look, but this is called “The Bat” which translates to The Batwing. The one in the picture is released for the basic figure line in which less articulated version of the characters are scaled down to fit these. Expect to see a black tumbler as well as Bane’s Brown and Yellow Camo tumbler to add to the mix as well. Along with the basic set of figures, there have been photos released of another series of Movie Masters action figures which offer a high attention to detail and articulation. The 3 pictured in the first run of the figures is Bane, Batman, and Catwoman. Check the photos below!
There are tons of Dark Knight Rises items that will be revealed as the movie release date approaches. Stay tuned to Kikzengiggles.com for the latest by subscribing to us on our home page for e-mail updates, ‘Like’ us on facebook.com/kikzengiggles, and/or ‘Follow’ us on twitter.
